ILM

The Individual in the Labour Market Reading Group

The Gender and Working Lives group (GWL) is an interdisciplinary research group for those with an interest in questions of gender, labour, employment, work. The group usually meets every two weeks during term time to read and discuss relevant texts. In particular, we engage with rich qualitative research that centres on the every-day experiences of work and social reproduction, and that spans workers' involvement over their lifetimes in various kinds of work (paid and unpaid).

You can join the group for all or some of the sessions, the first one being on 31 October 2019 at 12.30 pm in Meeting Room 1, Department of Sociology, 16 Mill Lane. The GWL also organises and circulates events from time to time. To join their mailing list, please email genderandworkinglives@gmail.com. You can also follow them on Twitter at @GenderWorkGroup.
