ILM

The Individual in the Labour Market Reading Group

This Thursday 17th October, at 5 pm, former and new members of the ILM met at 17 Mill Lane to initiate the academic year with a successful public talk by Professor Barbara Brents (University of Nevada) and Professor Teela Sanders (University of Leicester). The guest speakers presented some of the findings of their latest research on sex work in the digital age, which suggest that, to some extent, increased digitalisation has made the sex industry safer for both workers and customers. The research, which draws on survey and interview data from both the UK and the US, is about to be published as a book.
