Dr Hui Wang is a research fellow at Taihe Institute, a public-policy think-tank based in Beijing. Previously she conducted postdoctoral research at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. She holds a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Economics from the University of Edinburgh. Her research interests are highly skilled migration, labour market, education and global transformation. Hui worked on China's urbanisation issues and migrant labour market during her time at the International Organisation for Migration's Geneva headquarters as a consultant. While at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, she worked as an independent researcher completing the research on China's immigration policies for the Global Detention Project.
